A dozen detained on drug-trafficking charges: CJTF
KABUL (Pajhwok): A dozen drug traffickers have been arrested by counter narcotic police, the Criminal Justice Task Force (CJTF) said on Monday.
The traffickers were detained in Herat, Baghlan, Samangan, Kunduz and Kabul provinces during the past two weeks. They are currently being interrogated.
A statement from CJTF said more than 425 kilograms of opium, 544 litres of alcoholic beverages, seven mobile telephone sets and four cars had been seized from the detainees.
Over the past one month, 17 drug traffickers have been arrested in different parts of the country including the Kabul airportand referred to CJTF for interrogations.
