Reconstructed roads inaugurated in Kabul
KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Mayor Abdul Ahad Wahid on Monday inaugurated two newly-reconstructed roads measuring three kilometres in capital Kabul.
The World Bank-funded project cost $1.7 million and two years time to be completed.
The two-kilometre road was constructed from Masood Square up to Abdul Haq Square and the one-kilometre road was construed between Macro Rayan residential blocks.
The mayor announced that the Sello Road would also be reconstructed and asphalted and would be inaugurated in a couple of weeks.
Abdullah Taj, a resident of Macro Rayan, told Pajhwok Afghan News people had to face multiple problems including traffic jams before the road’s construction. He welcomed the construction of the road and said it would facilitate local residents.
