He said the under-19 national cricket team had many achievements during the past one year and the national side made history by defeating Test-playing national Zimbabwe in both ODI and T20 series.

Danish revealed Afghanistan would play five ODIs against India-A team next year and plans had been devised for more matches against best teams.

At the end, appreciation letters were distributed among media organizations and for Pajhwok Afghan News, the letter was received by editor Javed Hamim Kakar.

Afghanistan Radio and Television reporter Irfanullah Gardiwal told Pajhwok Afghan News at the ceremony that cricket had brought the most laurels home and it was their journalistic responsibility to provide information to fans about what was going on in the cricket worldinfo-icon.
