Afghan students in Peshawar demand reopening of university
PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Afghan students have asked Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for the reopening of a medical university in Peshawar.
The closure of the private university was a threat to their future, the students told a news conference in the provincial capital on Monday.
Pak-Afghan Students Federation President Naik Muhammad said students had already paid high admission and tuition fees over the past five years.
He added: “We have asked the Afghan Consulate in Peshawar several times for registration of the university but nothing was done.”
As a result, the district administration conducted a raid two days agoand sealed the university, endangering the future of many students.
