Teacher, son among 3 killed in Uruzgan
TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Gunmen shot dead three persons, including a schoolteacher and his son, in Khas Uruzgan district of central Uruzgan province, the district chief said on Sunday.
Malak Abdul Karim said the gunmen whisked the three persons away from their home and later shot them dead on Saturday night.
The gunmen had escaped and police had launched an operation to apprehend them, the district chief said.
Uruzgan education director Ihsanullah Nashir said the slain teacher taught at Shah Zaman High School. Unknown gunmen broke into the teacher’s house and killed him after taking him away, he said.
There has been no claim of responsibility for the incident that came a day after the Khan Uruzgan’s former administrative head was forced out of his house and was killed by unknown gunmen.
