2250 acres of industrial parks land grabbed: AISA
Addressing a meeting of the High Commission of Entrepreneurs, AISA director Mohammad Qurban Haqjo said industrial parks needed 16,500 acres of land to be established.
He said 35 factories had so far requested land to be constructed at industrial parks, but it would be decided at the end of the meeting that who many of the factories would be given the land.
Currently there are 4424 plots of land in the sector while 2940 plots have been issued to 1605 companies with 552 factories currently operating on the land, he said.
Their survey on industrial parks showed out of the total 1605 factories in the country, 552 factories were operational and 477 non-operational, he said.
