Women, children lose lives to clash between families
KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Local security officials on Tuesday said three children and a woman were killed as a result of an armed clash between two families in southeastern Khost province.
Khost police chief, Brig. Gen. Faizullah Ghairat, told Pajhwok Afghan News the families of two cousins clashed in Kundo area, on the outskirts of the provincial capital, on Monday night.
He said the verbal dispute led triggered an armed clash that left a woman and a child dead from one side and two children from the other family. One woman was wounded.
A resident of the area, Khyal Mohammad, also linked the incident to the dispute between the households. However, he had no more details of the clash.
He said police arrived early in the area in the morning and took some people into for investigations.
