Tribal elder dead in Nangarhar explosion
JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A tribal elder was killed as a result of a blast in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Saturday.
The incident took place on Friday evening when a magnetic bomb attached to his vehicle went off in the Qasim village of Behsud district.
Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan Newsthe elder was killed and another person wounded in the explosion.
Faqir Shah, originally from the Kashmund area of Dara-i-Noor district, was living in Behsud district, said another tribal elder from, Walayat Khan.
No one has so far claimed responsibility for the explosion.
