Delhi seeks details about IS-linked Afghan businessman
KABUL (Pajhwok): New Delhi has sought details from Kabul about an Afghan businessman with alleged links to the Islamic State (IS), a news report said on Thursday.
India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) alleges the businessman is indoctrinating youth from Maharashtra state to join the IS -- also known by its Arabic acronym of Daesh.
The New Indian Express reported NIA had sent its first judicial requests in the case to Afghanistan, seeking details about the man, whose name has been withheld.
The man, running the business of dried fruits in India, has been accused of approaching the four youths and brainwashing them to join the insurgent group. He flew out of India in December last year.
