NRAP gets new 21m afs building in Bamyan
BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): A newly-constructed building for the National Rural Access Programme(NRAP) of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) was inaugurated in the central province of Bamyanon Wednesday, official said.
The two-storey building was constructed in a year at a cost of over 21 million afghanis provided by the World Bank, the director of the thedepartment, Salman Ali Sadiqi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Having 17 rooms, a hall, cooling and heating systems, and the Internet facility, the buildingwould meet the requirement of Bamyan, Ghor and Daikundi provinces, the official said.
Over the past decade, more than 1600 projects implemented under NRAP in the province provided work opportunities for more than 32,000 people of Bamyan, Ghor and Daikundi, he added.
The construction of the building would prove useful for staff of the programme, Bamyan GovernorMohammad Tahir Zaheer hoped, while promising more welfare schemes for the people under the programme.
