12 of a family injured in gas cylinder blast
JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A dozen members of a family sustained injuries when a liquefied gas cylinder exploded inside a house in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Friday.
The incident took place on Thursday night when a gas cylinder went off inside a house in the Kandahari area of the Kama district, the governor’s spokesman, Ataullah Khogyani told Pajhwok Afghan News.
A woman was among 12 people wounded in the blast which occurred due to placing the cylinder near the heating source in the house of Imdadullah, he said.
Two of the injured were in critical condition and as many others were discharged from hospital after treatment.
However, a reporter from the area, Yasir Sharifi said that a child succumbed to his serious wounds while the nine people are still admitted in the hospital.
