10 Taliban killed, 15 wounded in Helmand clashes
LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Ten Taliban have been killed and 15 others wounded during clashes in two districts of southern Helmand province, an official said on Saturday.
Mohammad Rasoul Zazai, spokesman for 215th Maiwand Military Corps, told Pajhwok Afghan News security forces conducted clearing operation on the outskirts of Khanshin district late on Friday.
Three Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers were also wounded in the exchange of firing with rebels.
According to Zazai, security forces recovered eight land mines in the Musa Kala and Sangin districts and defuse them
Mohammad Sharif Khan, administrative chief of Grishk district, said the Taliban attacked security forces check-posts in the Awpashak, Malgir and Adi Bagh localities on Friday night.
Taliban confirmed the attacks, the group Spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said they captured Afghan security personnel check-posts in the Adam Khan locality.
