President appoints delegation to resolve Kapisa problems

MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): During his visit to Kapisa, President Ashraf Ghani on Saturday appointed a delegation to resolve the problems of the central province, an official said.

Governor Syed Khalid Hashimi told Pajhwok Afghan News Ghani,accompanied by a number of cabinet members and security officials, arrived at 11am in the provincial capital.

The president met public representatives and local and security officials behind closed doors for an hour, the governor said. Later, Ghani participated in a gathering involving hundreds of ulemainfo-icon, tribal elders and people’s representatives.

Provincial council chairman Hussain Sanjani, Ulema Council chief Maulviinfo-icon Gul Mohammad and the Development Council head share public problems with the president.

After listening to the provincial officials, Ghani announced he would send a delegation to Kapisa to find solutions to the issuesfacing the people, according to Hashimi.

Ghani also pledged the launch of healthinfo-icon and road constructionprojects, as well as measures to prevent floodingin the Panjsher River. He also promised the construction of an irrigation canal. He also assured the construction ofbuilding for the Alberoni University.
