TAPI, CASA-1000 on Kabul’s priority list, says Danish
PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Vice President Mohammad Danish says two key energy projects, which will lead to regional economic integration, are on Afghanistan’s priority list
On their completion, the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline and CASA-1000 projects would truly reshape the regional economy, he said.
In a meeting with a Pak-Afghan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PAJCCI) delegation in Kabul, he called commerce and regional integration the focal point of Afghan policies.
Danish said the incumbent Afghan government wanted to put economics at the heart of politics and promote the notion of valuing co-existence, according to a statement from PAJCCI.
Led by Zubair Motiwala, the delegation is in Kabul to attend the fourth annual conference on “Business First: Afghanistan Pakistan Business Cooperation Conference”.
PAJCCI Co-President Khan Jan Alokozay urged the Ministry of Commerce to seek feedback from them while reforming the Afghanistan-Pakistan Transit Trade Agreement.
