6 paramilitary troops dead in Balochistan bomb attack
Monday’s remote-controlled bomb hit the troops during a patrol of Margat area, 50 kilometre east of the provincial capital Quetta, a Frontier Corps (FC) spokesman said.
Khan Wase said the dead bodies and injured were evacuated to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH). Law enforcement agencies reached the site and cordoned off the entire area.
Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri condemned the incident, ordering the arrest the armed attackers as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the improvised explosive device (IED) attack on the FC vehicle.
