Children among 16 hurt in Nangarhar explosion
JALALABAD (Pajhwok): At least 16 civilians were wounded in an explosion in Jalalabad, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province on Thursday, an official said.
Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion took place at around 12:00pm. The injured had been shifted to the hospital where they were discharged after initial treatment.
The explosion was caused by a hand grenade which was found from a car parked near Ali Baba private company in the limits of 2nd municipality district.
The company workers tried to defuse the bomb when it went off and wounded 16 people including children, he added.
