Afghanistan U-19 beats Fiji by 226 runs
Farid Hotak, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Fiji cricket team captain won the toss and decided to field first.
Taking the advantage of condition, the Afghan side built a great total of 340 runs in the loss of nine wickets in total 50 overs.
He said Fiji batting line up collapsed in the chase of mammoth total of 341 and the entire team was bowled in 114 runs in 31 overs.
Afghan bowlers Nijat Masood, Rashid Arman took three while Muslim and Musa took two wickets each. Janat was named as man of the match.
ACB Chairman Nasimullah Danish expressed happiness over the participation of under-19 cricket team in world cup and hoped that the team would qualify for the next world cup as well.
