5 dead, as many wounded in Paktika suicide bombing
SHARAN (Pajhwok): Five people were killed and as many wounded in a suicide bombing in the Yahyakhel district of southeastern Paktika province on Monday, an official said.
Musa Khan Kharotai, the town’s administrative chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the suicide attack took place inside a bakery before noon.
Fazal Rahman Yahya, a resident of locality, said a policeman and intelligence agents were eating lunch in the bakery when the suicide bomber struck. He claimed 10 people were killed and 20 others wounded in the incident.
A source in the civil hospital said seven bodies and 13 wounded had been shifted to the hospital so far.
Earlier in the morning, three security personnel were killed and 18 others wounded in an explosion in northern Balkh province.
