35 development projects executed under NSP in Paktia
GARDEZ (Pajhwok): Thirty-five development projects have been executed under the National Solidarity Programme (NSP) in Gardez and four more districts of southeastern Paktia province, an official said on Thursday.
NSP Media Coordinator Adam Khan Yaqoti told Pajhwok Afghan News the schemes had been executed in the provincial capital Garda Serai, Wazi Zadran, Chamkani and Dan-i-Patan districts.
The 43 million afghanis projects, including 67 wells, three community centres, a 3,000 meters retaining walls and canals, had been completed with financial assistance from and NSP and locals.
Haji Rozuddin, a tribal elder from Garda Serai district, said: “We are happy with the NSP and hope it would launch a second phase as well for rural development.”
He said the projects implemented by the locals themselves were much better in terms of quality than other schemes.
In Paktia, the NSP covers 1,210 villages, where 2,491 projects have already been complete and 600 more are underway
