West Indies lift maiden U-19 World Cup trophy
The West Indies won the toss and decided to bowl first at Shere Bangla National Stadium in the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka on Sunday.
The Indian side was bowled out for 145 runs in 45.1 overs, with SN Khan scoring 51 runs off 89 balls, highest in the Indian bating line.
Chasing the target of 146, the West Indies lost wickets in succession and at one stage they were 60 for four.
But they chased down the target in 49.3 overs at the loss of five wickets. KU Carty’s 52 helped West Indies achieve the target.
