Nimroz prosecutor gunned down along with civilian
ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen have shot dead an employee of the prosecution office and a civilian in southwestern Nimroz province, an official said on Monday.
“Unknown motorcyclists shot deadAllah Noor, an employee of the appellant prosecution office, along with a friend,” the police chief, Brig. Gen. Dilawar Shah Dilawar, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The incident took place Sunday night in 5th police district of Zaranj, he said, adding two suspects had been were detained with a pistol, a knife and a motorbike.
Separately, a man was killed and five other people including two women and as many children were injured when a car crashed into a truck in Dago area on the Herat-Nimroz road, Traffic Director Mohammad Zarin said.
A doctor on duty at the Zaranj Civil Hospital, Dr. Saifuddin, said that a dead body and five injured people had been brought to the hospital.
