Tint removed from 104 vehicles in 24 hours in Kabul
KABUL (Pajhwok): The police garrison on Monday said they had removed black films from 104 vehicles in a latest operation in various parts of capital Kabul.
A statement from the police headquarters said mobile police teams had been tasked over the past 24 hours with preventing illegal gunmen from commuting in vehicles and checking documents of military and armoured vehicles.
It said tinted glasses of 104 government and private vehicles were removed and eight vehicles were impounded.
Four Kalashnikovs, two Kalakovs, four pistols and two military coats were seized during the period, the statement added.
Support from people, jihadi leaders, ulema, civil society groups and the youth with police could play a vital role in maintaining security and making a success the anti-terrorism fight, the statement concluded.
