Earthquake jolts Kabul, several provinces
KABUL (Pajhwok): A moderate 4.4 magnitude earthquake shook capital Kabul and some provinces of the country on Sunday afternoon, an official said.
The tremors were felt at 01:45pm in Kabul, Nangrahar, Takhar, Baghlan, Jawzjan and Badakhshan provinces.
Mohammad Umar Younisi, a senior official at the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, told Pajhwok Afghan News the epicenter of the earthquake was in Farkhar district of northern Takhar province. There were no immediate reports about life and properly losses in the quake.
