KP chief minister seeks roadmap for refugees’ repatriation
PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has asked the federal government to prepare a roadmap for the early repatriation of Afghan refugees living in his province.
On his return from Islamabad, where he held talks with higher-ups on the subject, the chief minister told journalists in Nowshera the Centre had been urged to expedite repatriation of registered Afghan refugees.
He also asked the Afghan Commissionerate to ensure the registration of undocumented Afghans at the earliest possible. Khattak insisted the Afghans’ return to their homeland was necessary for improvement in the security situation.
