Wounded ANA soldier evacuated to Peshawar hospital
PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): An Afghan National Army (ANA) soldier, who was wounded in a terrorist attack, was evacuated to a hospital northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Friday.
The soldier was injured in an insurgent attack on a security post he was manning inside Afghanistan. He was initially taken to Khar Hospital in the Bajaur tribal region for medical care, an administration official said.
Bajaur Scout Commandant Col. Nayyar Zaman and Political Agent Eng. Amir Khattak visited the injured soldier at Khar Hospital before he transported in a special ambulance to Peshawar.
In late November 2015, an ANA soldier underwent an appendix surgery at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in the border town of Landikotal. Izzatullah, a resident of Mazar-i-Sharif, had been brought to the hospital from the Sheraz base.
