2 police killed in Helmand roadside bomb attack
LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): A roadside bomb tore through a police pick-up vehicle in southern Helmand province on Saturday, killing two policemen, an official said.
The police vehicle came under attack in Bolan area on the western outskirts of Lashkargah, the provincial capital, at about 7pm, the governor’s spokesman told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Omar Zwak said the blast killed two policemen onboard and destroyed the ranger pick-up. Police had launched their investigation in the attack that came a day after four local policemen were injured in a similar incident in the same area.
