LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): The acting police chief for Sangin district of southern Helmand province was among 30 policemen detained by Afghan military personnel over alleged cooperation with the Talibaninfo-icon, an official said on Sunday. Helmand police chief Brig. Gen. Abdul Rahman Sarjang told a press conference here that the Afghan National Army personnel and American forces detained Sangin acting police chief Mohammad Nabi along with 29 other policemen two days ago for allegedly cooperating with the Taliban. He said there had been a clash between the two sides, leaving one policeman dead. He said the detainees had been disarmed and currently held at the 215 Maiwand military corps headquarters.
