6 Daesh fighters killed in Ghazni
GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Six Daesh or Islamic State (IS) fighters were killed and seven others wounded during a clash in the southern province of Ghazni, an official said on Friday.
A group of masked fighters on Friday morning attacked a police checkpoint in the Aziz Kala area on the outskirts of Ghazni City, the provincial police chief, Brig. Gen. Aminullah Amarkhel, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Six IS fighters were killed and seven others wounded in return firings, he said adding security personnel suffered no casualties in the first time attack of Daesh fighters in the province.
Video clips in the mobile phones of the insurgents showed that they had brutally killed several Afghan soldiers in the past, he said.
