A dozen Daesh militants blown up by own bomb in Achin
JALALABAD (Pajhwok): At least 33 Daesh militants were killed and wounded by the bomb they were planting in eastern Nangarhar province, the Afghan National Army (ANA) said on Monday.
A statement from the 201st Selab Military Corps of the ANA said the bomb exploded in the Mazdaki area of Achin district, a Daesh stronghold near the Pakistan border.
The landmine went off as the fighters carried it to the Shadal bazaar for planting.At least 12 of the militants were killed and another 21 wounded in the explosion, the statement said.
Meanwhile, National Directorate of Security (NDS) claimed detaining a sevenmembers group of insurgents, intending to conduct attacks in the town.
