US not committed to BSA enforcement: Hamid Karzai

US not committed to BSA enforcement: Hamid Karzai

Mar 20, 2016 - 22:11

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The former president, Hamid Karzai, said speaking out against violations of Afghan territory and America’s non-committal stance on the Bilateral Security Agreement (BSA) execution was his duty.

In his Nawroz message from his office, Karzai hoped the next solar yearinfo-icon would be a year of peace, stability, prosperity, greenery and happiness for the Afghans and Muslims.

Afghans had celebrated the festival for centuries and it was one of respectful occasions, he said. “I know there is a moment of grief this spring while Afghan forces have sacrificed a lot for peace and stability in the country.

“Our country was attacked by Pakistaninfo-icon last year. Pakistani forces carelessly continue attacking the territory of Afghanistaninfo-icon. Pakistani helicopters violate Afghanistan’s airspace.”

He accused the US of not honouring the strategic and security agreements, under which the two countries had agreed to work jointly to beat such aggression against Afghanistan.

He once against again asked Talibaninfo-icon leaders to accept the peace process to ensure peace, stability and development for the country.

“Our country has a lot of pride in its history and has faced many ups and downs in its journey. I am sure, by the grace of Allah and strong will of the people, we will come out of this situation successfully,” he maintained.
