Alcohol seized from Taliban commander’s vehicle in Badakhshan
FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): Police in the Baharak district of northeastern Badakhshan province have seized 66 bottles of alcoholic drinks from a Taliban commander, an official said on Tuesday.
Deputy police chief Col. Sakhi Dad Haideri told Pajhwok Afghan News the alcohol bottles were recovered from the vehicle of Dr. Fazlullah, a local insurgent commander.
The detained driver was under investigations, he said. According to the detainee, the alcoholic drink was being shifted to Faizabad, the provincial capital, in compliance with Fazlullah’s orders.
