3 thieves arrested after clash with Kabul police
KABUL (Pajhwok): Following a thirty-minute armed clash with police, three thieves were detained in central capital Kabul on Thursday, an official said.
Basir Mujahid, the 101st Asmai zone police spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News four thieves opened fire at police at about 1:30pm on Thursday in the jurisdiction of the 8th police district in Kabul.
After half an hour clash, the police finally arrested the leader and two wounded thieves and the fourth was able to escape.
He said two pistols, two Kalashnikovs and a corolla car were recovered from the detainees. A police vehicle was also partially damaged in the crossfire, he added.
He said an investigation had been launched into the incident to arrest members of the group.
