Dozen rebels dead, 10 hurt in Kunduz clash
KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Twelve Taliban fighters, including their group’s head, have been killed and 10 others wounded during ongoing offensive in northern Kunduz province, an official said on Friday.
Ghulam Hazrat Karimi, spokesman for the 20th division Pamir in the northern zone, told Pajhwok Afghan News the operation had been conducted Thursday night on the outskirts of Kunduz City, the provincial capital.
Karimi said the clearing operation codename Tandur would continue until the last insurgent was eliminated from the area.
Taliban claimed killing 12 security official destroying one tank and a vehicle during the clash.
