Intelligence officials detain 2 forgers in Kandahar
KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Intelligence officials on Wednesday detained two persons for allegedly making fake national identity cards and work permits in southern Kandahar province, an official said.
Kandahar governor’s spokesman, Samim Khpalwak, told Pajhwok Afghan News the detainees, Mohammad Naseem and Naqeeb, hailed from Spin Bulduk district.
He said the two had been making and selling fake identity cards and work permits in the district and were arrested after a long chase.
The forgers were detained along with five fake ID cards and several other illegal documents by National Directorate of Security officials during an operation.
The detainees have confessed to their crime and were currently being interrogated, he said.
