Nuristan to have asphalted roads for first time: Ghani
KABUL (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani on Saturday said the government would asphalt for the first time roads in eastern Nuristan province this solar year and would establish hostels for students in all insecure provinces.
After hearing problems and demands from elders, spiritual leaders and women of eastern Nuristan province, the president thanked the people of the province for the defence of the country, a statement from the Presidential Palace said.
“I will in person monitor the asphalting process and I ask people to monitor roads’ construction,” President Ghani said of the roads the government would asphalt in Nuristan.

In response to Nuristan people’s demand regarding establishment of hostels for high schools, the president said his government would establish hostels for schools in restive provinces including Nuristan.
