Atmar leaves for China, security, peace on agenda
KABUL (Pajhwok): National Security Advisor (NSA) Mohammad Hanif Atmar on Sunday left Kabul for China on a two-day official visit to meet senior Chinese civil and military leaders.
National Security Council spokesman Tawab Ghorzang told Pajhwok Afghan News Atmar was expected to discuss with Chinese officials security cooperation between Afghanistan and China, the Afghan peace process, Afghan-Pak relations and China’s military aid with the Afghan forces.
Atmar will be meeting Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi, minister of state for security Geng Huichang, Meng Jianzhu, Secretary of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the Communist Party, General Fang Fenghui,the Chief of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) of the People's Republic of China and others.
