Contract signed to build cricket stadium in Laghman
The contract was signed between ACB chairman Nasimullah Danish and Mohammad Shafiq’s Construction Company, ACB spokesman Farid Hotak told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Hotak said the ACB-funded stadium would be constructed in Mehtarlam, the provincial capital, on 15 acres of land and its construction would take eight months to complete.
Besides other provinces, a quality cricket stadium would be constructed in Laghman, ACB chairman Danish said, adding they were committed to constructing playgrounds across the country.
The contractor, Mohammad Shafiq, said he was in favour of cricket and would work sincerely to construct a quality playground and would hand it over to the ACB.
Cricket playgrounds are under construction in southern Kandahar and southeastern Khost provinces.
