Police officials suspended after devastating attack in Kabul
KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has suspended a number of senior police officials after the deadly suicide attack in Kabul.
Sediq Sediqi, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior (MoI), said the police chief for the first district of Kabul had been suspended and referred for investigation.
A number of other officials, including heads of the criminal investigation and counter-terrorism department, were also suspended.
Sixty-four people were killed and 347 others wounded on Tuesday when the Taliban assaulted an elite security agency in the heart of Kabul.
