48 insurgents killed in around-the-clock operations
KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 48 militants and 10 Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers have been killed over the past one day in 12 provinces of the country, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said on Friday.
A statement from MoD stated that Afghan Security and Defence Force (ASDF) conducted the operations over the past 24 hours to defeat militants in Nangarhar, Laghman, Kabul, Paktia, Kandahar, Badghis, Baghlan, and Balkh, Jawzjan, Faryab, Kunduz and Helmand provinces.
Three militants were killed in Kandahar province, 25 insurgents including six Daesh fighters in Nangarhar and Paktia provinces and 13 other rebels were killed in Kunduz and Baghlan provinces, the statement added.
Seven of the militants were wounded and as many others detained during the raids, the statement said adding 10 ANA soldiers have also been killed in the offensives.
