Another HIA delegation to reach Kabul on Saturday
KABUL (Pajhwok): A second high-level delegation of the Gulbadin Hekmatyar-led Hezb-i-Islami Afghanistan party is expected to arrive in Kabul on Saturday to finalise talks with Afghan government, a source said on Friday.
Invited by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the three-member delegation headed by Dr. Qazi Mohammad Hakim Hakim would reach on Saturday to Kabul where the delegates would meet president Ghani, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr. Abdullah Abdullah and High Peace Council (HPC) officials.
Dr Ghairat Baheer, and Ustad Ali Ansari were two other members of the delegation, the source said adding the delegates would discuss basic and key issues with the government officials.
A few weeks ago, HIA decided to join peace talks with Afghan government and has sent a delegation led by Eng. Mohammad Amin Karim to Kabul for peace talks with HPC officials in Kabul. The peace parlays of the first delegation held with Afghan officials, were beneficial and fruitful, the source concluded.
