1 policeman killed, 5 wounded in Paktika bombing
SHARANA (Pajhwok): One policeman was killed and another five wounded on Sunday when a roadside bomb tore through their vehicle in southeastern Paktika province, an official said.
The blast took place in Khoshamand around 11am, the town’s administrative head, Gulla Khan, told Pajhwok Afghan News. He said the off-duty police officials were going home when came under attack.
An official at the civil hospital in Sharana, the provincial capital, confirmed receiving five wounded policemen. He said two of them who were in critical condition had been sent to Kabul.
The Taliban have said nothing in this regard so far.
