Afghan border policeman martyred by Pakistan troops
JALALABAD (Pajhwok): An Afghan border policeman was martyred and two others were wounded as a result of a cross-border attack by Pakistani forces in the Goshta district of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Sunday.
Pakistani paramilitary soldiers attacked two checkpoints of Afghan border police in the Anargi area of the districton Saturday evening in, killing one policeman and injuring two others, said a security official, who wished anonymity.
Meanwhile, 301st Border Police Brigade Commander Brig. Gen. Wali Khan Shinwari confirmed shelling by Pakistani border forces. But he denied theattack had caused any life loss.
Nearly six weeks ago, a clash occurred between Afghan and Pakistani forces in the border district of Goshta.
