More than 360,000 Afghans enrolled in Iranian schools
The Afghan children, who are currently living unlawfully in the neighbouring country, are also receiving education in Iran, according to IRNA
Their enrollment in schools has been made possible by an edict from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said the official, Khalilollah Babalou.
He said the Afghan students paid low tuition fees in proportion to their families’ income and their school standards. But no Afghan student has dropped out due to non-payment of fees.
He added a large number of the Afghan students were studying in schools in Tehran, Khorasan Razavi, Isfahan, Qom, Fars, Alborz, and Kerman provinces.
