Afghanistan to tour Scotland, Holland, Ireland this year
Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) spokesman Farid Hotak told Pajhwok Afghan News Afghanistan would first tour Scotland to play two ODIs there from July 6.
After Scotland, the Afghans would play five ODIs against Ireland before going to Holland for four ODIs as part of the Intercontinental Cup.
ACB chairman Nasimullah Danish said the experience and skills of the Afghan players had boosted after playing matches against full ICC member nations over the past one year.
“We are impatient about the matches with Scotland, Holland and Ireland and we are on the path of development at international level,” he said.
ACB chief executive Shafiqullah Stanikzai said the Afghan national side deserved its current status as a leading associate member.
He hoped the upcoming matches against Scotland, Holland and Ireland would further improve the talent of the Afghan team.
He said Afghanistan who recently defeated Zimbabwe and West Indies would tour the three countries with high morale.
