5 insurgents, a tribal elder killed in Ghazni
GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): A tribal elder was killed and two of his family members were injured in southern Ghazni province, where five rebels eliminated during a clash with security personnel, police said on Wednesday.
Fahim Amiri, the provincial police spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident occurred when a magnetic bomb ripped through Mirza Ahmad’s vehicle in Ghazni City, the provincial capital.
Noorullah, a doctor on duty at the Ghazni civil hospital, confirmed receiving the wounded people, saying their condition was stated to be stable.
The inhabitants of the area say the slain was the deputy head of local council. Nobody has so far claimed responsibility for the incident.
Separately, five Taliban fighters were killed during a clash with security forces in Abdur Rahimkhel locality of Andar district, Amiri said.
