46 insurgents killed in round-the-clock operations
KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 46 militants and eight Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers have been killed in around-the-clock operations in different parts of the country, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said on Friday.
A statement from MoD stated that Afghan Security and Defence Force (ASDF) conducted the operations over the past 24 hours to defeat militants in the country.
At least 64 militants have been killed, 52 injured and six others detained during the joint operations launched in Kapisa, Paktia, Khost, Ghazni, Kandahar, Badghis, Baghlan, Balkh, Jawzjan, Faryab, Kunduz, Takhar, Badakhshan and Helmand provinces, the statement added.
10 ANA soldiers have also been killed in the offensives, the statement added.
