Afghans without passports won’t be allowed entry after May 21
PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Afghan citizens without valid travel documents would not be allowed to cross the Torkham border into Pakistan after May 21, a newspaper reported on Monday.
“After the deadline, they will not be allowed to cross the Torkham border unless they have passports and other documents, the Express Tribune quoted the assistant political agent (APA) as saying.
Rahim Mehsud,hailing the Afghan nationals as brothers, promised providing them with all possible support. “The deadline has been extended for their convenience,” the administrator said.
Last month, officials from both sides decided at a meeting in Torkham to restrict the cross-border movement of Afghan nationals without legal documents. They set April 30deadline.
