Afghanistan one of the most corrupt countries: Cameron
David Cameron passed the remarks while speaking to the British monarch about the countries that are going to attend an upcoming anti-corruption summit in the UK.
According to ITV News, Cameron was overheard telling audience: "We talked about our anti-corruption summit. We've got...leaders of some fantastically corrupt countries coming to Britain.
“Nigeria and Afghanistan are possibly two of the most corrupt countries in the world," the prime minister told his interlocutors, including Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby and Commons Speaker John Bercow.
President Ashraf Ghani and his Nigerian counterpart Muhammadu Buhari have written essays for a book accompanying the summit, the TV channel said. "In his essay, Ghani acknowledges that Afghanistan is ‘one of the most corrupt countries on earth’.”
