Car bombing claims 10 lives in Nangarhar
JALALABAD (Pajhwok): At least 10 people were killed and another 23 including public uprising commander wounded in a car bombing on Tuesday in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said.
The gubernatorial spokesman, Attaullah Khogyani, told Pajwhok Afghan News the explosion occurred at around 6pm in front of a public uprising commander’s house in Landai area of Nazian district.
Ten people were killed and 23 others including the uprising commander, Dehqan, and three children were wounded as a result of the detonation, Khogyani added.
The police spokesman, Col. Hazrat Husain Mashriqiwal, confirmed the blast but did not reveal further details.
A resident of the district, Syed Qayum Atal, said commander Dehqan was injured and his son and two nephews were among the dead.
