4 heroin producing factories destroyed in Nangrahar
JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Four heroin producing factories have been destroyed by security forces during a raid in the Sherzad district of eastern Nangrahar province, an official said on Saturday.
The governor’s spokesman, Attaullah Khogyani, told Pajhwok Afghan News the operation kicked off on Friday in Malalai Ghondi locality was wrapped up this morning.
He said 25 Kalashnikovs, two pistols, one vehicle and one motorbike were also confiscated from the factories.
According to the spokesman, the drug producing factories belonged to notorious drug smugglers Juma Khan, Mohammad Agha and Hazrat.
Khogyani said the factories were demolished by security forces with explosives and the security forces did not suffer causalities during the operation.
